Ihsan A. Haddad, Founder
 

Mr. Haddad has nearly 45 years of experience in the medical instrumentation industry. In 1962 he joined Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc. (IL) as a chemical engineer. In the next 22 years at IL he served in several functions including the setting up of a new division Sensorlab, with P&L responsibility focusing on the critical care segment of the healthcare market. He also successfully negotiated with Ingold, a Swiss company, for the formation of a joint venture with IL. Subsequently he set up and managed this joint venture Ingold Electrodes, Inc.

 

In 1985 Mr. Haddad left IL and founded and managed Vascular Technology Inc. (VTI).  The focus at VTI was also the critical care segment of the healthcare marketplace but with stress on new technology in Doppler ultrasound and in various sensors. Ihsan left VTI in 1999.

 

Mr. Haddad has been awarded 12 patents and two more are pending. The dollar sales value of devices and disposables that Ihsan was instrumental in developing and introducing into the market place has exceeded a billion dollars.

 

Mr. Haddad received two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology:

MSc. Chemical Engineering, 1956, and,

BSc.  Chemical Engineering, 1955.
 


David Healey, Founder
 

Mr. Healey has over 40 years of experience in the development of medical diagnostic instrumentation and related medical disposables.

 

In 1962, Healey joined Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc. as engineering manager directing development programs for Blood Gas, Electrolyte and Blood Chemistry product lines. The success of bringing these products into manufacturing supported the exceptional growth of the company.

 

In 1974, David became Manufacturing V.P. of IL’s Bio-Medical Division. He had overall responsibility of over $100 million dollars in annual shipments of medical instruments, chemical reagents and polymer disposables.

 

In 1983 Mr. Healey founded DTH Associates, Inc., a consulting firm providing product and process development services to companies in the medical field. He continues to operate this firm today.
