The Airpurge System is for use in the Operating Room/PACU by automatically trapping and disposing of AIR in an intravenous line. Flow rate is restored. Hands free and no reset!

The Airpurge System is a novel device that detects and removes air in Intravenous lines. The System unobtrusively monitors the I.V. line attached to it. When air is detected, pinch valves in a disposable cartridge are activated and the I.V. flow with air is diverted to a built-in reservoir and is disposed of in a collection bag. A second sensor confirms that the air has been purged (all liquid status) and reverts back to free flowing fluid. The Airpurge System’s automatic detection and removal of air thereby minimizes interruptions and delays.

The Airpurge is designed to:

• Detects & removes air automatically
• Identify bubbles during infusion flow rates as high as 750 cc/min
• Extract small air bubbles (10 micro liters) at high or low flow rates
• Facilitate automatic air removal from single or multiple bags during a procedure
• Reduce risks of needle sticks during manual inline air extraction practices
